Who applies for permits and inspections
Permits, Warranty and Handover for Wellness Rooms. Lesson 1, 18 min.
Some places ask for permits or inspections for some building, electrical or plumbing work. Others do not. This course cannot say what your area needs.
What the site's guide says
The site's permits guide gives examples for some places and shows its sources. It says it did not confirm the rules for some others, so it gives none for them. Where the guide gives no confirmed rule, ask your local authority.
Questions to ask the firm
- Which permits or approvals does this work need?
- Who applies for each one?
- Who books each inspection?
- Who pays for them? Is it in the quote?
- What happens if an inspection fails?
Ask for the answers in writing.
If the firm says no permit is needed
Ask the firm to say why, in writing. Then check with your local authority or the official body. Do not rely on a forum post or on a promise.
Keep the records
Ask for a copy of each approval and each inspection result at handover.
